Body composition testing is carried out to determine how much of your body is made up of adipose (fat) and how much isn’t (lean mass). Objective data on body composition is imperative if you’re actively trying to lose weight, put on muscle mass or improve your sporting performance.

Weight as measured on the scales and various other methods is usually distorted due to; water & food intake, training in the 24 hours before measurements, bladder & bowel movements, menstrual cycles, inaccurate equipment and poor application of a testing method.

Accurate, consistent methods of measurement are key in tracking your progress to ensure training programmes and nutrition are having the desired effect.  Results can be interpreted to help understand and improve performance.
